Common questions
Which tests does PassLane cover?
The learner's permit written knowledge test for California, Texas, Florida and New York. Mock exams use each state's question count and pass mark.
Do the passes renew automatically?
No. The 7-Day Pass and 30-Day Pass are one-time purchases. They end after 7 or 30 days and you are never charged again. Lifetime Access is a single payment with no expiry.
How do I restore a purchase on a new phone?
Sign in with the same Apple ID, open PassLane, tap the gear icon on Home to open Settings, then tap Restore purchases. You can also restore from the purchase screen.
How do I get a refund?
Apple handles all payments, so refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Does my progress sync between devices?
No. Your progress is stored only on your device and is removed if you delete the app. Purchases do carry over through your Apple ID.
Is PassLane an official DMV app?
No. PassLane is an independent study aid and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any state DMV or government agency. Questions are written from each state's official driver handbook. Always check your state's handbook for the latest rules.
